Leading When The Story Is Personal

UNAPOLOGETIC · SEASON 2 / EPISODE 3

LEADING WHEN THE STORY IS PERSONAL

WITH DEAN RASMUSSEN

ABOUT THE EPISODE

When leadership intersects with lived experience, the work becomes deeply personal.

Dean Rasmussen joins Erin for a conversation about identity, vulnerability, and what happens when our own stories shape how we lead. Together, they explore the courage it takes to show up fully—and the risk of doing so in systems that aren’t always built for honesty.

This episode is about humanity, boundaries, and the power of being seen.

MEET THE GUEST

Dean Rasmussen is a queer and transgender life coach who helps LGBTQIA+ individuals navigate life transitions, reconnect with their identities, and build lives rooted in authenticity and self-trust. His approach emphasizes personal growth, self-acceptance, and challenging the patterns and expectations that can prevent people from living fully as themselves.

Drawing on his own experiences with transitioning later in life, navigating religious trauma, raising a family, and rebuilding his sense of identity, Dean brings a deeply personal perspective to his work. Through compassionate, practical coaching, he creates space for individuals to explore their values, embrace change, and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
